The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey under baton of Artistic Director, Dr. Robert Butts, will present its premiere performance of Beethoven’s beloved masterpiece, his 9th Symphony. This monumental work will be performed with vocalists Karole Lewis, Hanne Ladefoged-Dollase and Kevin Peters. The Sussex County Oratorio Society, under the direction of Al Kopacka, will perform during the fourth movement, the famous Ode to Joy, based on the poem by Frederick Schiller. This stirring aria has been adopted as the anthem of the European Union.
