Macculloch Hall Historical Museum presents speaker John Zinn in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibit, “Gone for a Soldier:” Jerseymen in the Civil War which  brings together for the first time approximately 200 Civil War objects from nearly 30 museums, historical societies and private collections. Mr. Zinn will speak about “New Jersey Baseball during the Civil War era, 1855-1870″ in a talk describing the game’s early beginnings in New Jersey,  prominent teams and players as well as the impact of the war on the game in New Jersey.

 

Each month, through June, the Museum is presenting a lecture relating to the exhibit. Please note that the lecture takes place at the Masonic Lodge, 39 Maple Ave., Morristown.
