On the evening of June 7th, well over 100 people joined the Arts Council of the Morris Area in a rousing sendoff for Anne Aronovitch , departing Executive Director. Heartfelt and humorous, the tributes came from colleagues, friends and family … testament to Anne’s outstanding leadership for the past 4 years. Hosted at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, the event was planned and executed largely by the Arts Council Board. Thanks to Board President Alan Levitan, board members Doon Wintz, Joen Ferrari, Dawn Dupak and all the many volunteers (especially Kelly, Fiona and Shannon Moran). Music was provided by Mauricio de Souza and Bossa Brasil®, and the beautiful cake was crafted by The Artist Baker. Artist Dan Fenelon’s decorated bucket held the many suggestions for Anne’s “bucket list” and comic relief was provided by a spectacular performance by the be-wigged Sandy Almassy from Dodge. It was an evening of warm outpourings from the entire arts community…and a nice welcome for our new Executive Director, Tom Werder.
