Two-time Super Bowl champion offensive lineman Damien Woody joined ESPN as a NFL analyst in 2011 and appears on NFL Live, SportsCenter and other ESPN programs. A 12-year NFL veteran, Damien played 173 career games – starting all but seven – for the New England Patriots (1999-2003), Detroit Lions (2004-07) and New York Jets (2008-10). Selected as a center by the Patriots in the 1999 NFL Draft, he started all 16 regular season games as a rookie and was part of two Super Bowl winning teams (2001 and 2003). He also earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2002. Later in his career, Damien moved to guard, and then tackle. He signed with the Lions in 2004 before returning to the AFC East where he helped lead the rival Jets to the 2009 AFC Championship game. Upon announcing his retirement from pro football in 2011, he immediately transitioned to ESPN television analyst. A native of Beaverdam, VA., he was an All-American and an All-Big East offensive lineman at Boston College. In 2014, he participated in NBC’s reality show, The Biggest Loser: Glory Days and lost 107 pounds during their six month competition. Currently, Damien lives in New Jersey with his wife and their children.
