Nestor Bedoya, Chef Fredy’s Table Restaurant – General Manager/Owner
Born and raised in Colombia, Nestor emigrated to Morristown in 1996 and fell in love with the restaurant business working as a busser and seeing everyone’s enjoyment at what later became Chef Fredy’s Table. With unrelenting dedication, he worked every position, from scraping dirty dishes to managing the restaurant in suit and tie, gradually earning the trust and respect of those around him and fulfilling his dream of owning his own restaurant. He loves spending time with his wife Judy and their three children, including trying new restaurants. He also previously competed for three years in CrossFit competitions where he came in first place two times and second place once. His greatest joy as an owner of Chef Fredy’s Table is seeing how genuinely happy people can be while sharing a meal with their loved ones and the smiles the food from his establishment can elicit. Nestor’s advice for those interested in pursuing a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry is to master the fundamentals: strive to be an expert in every job you undertake, take full accountability for your actions and learn as much as you can along the way.
