Rich serves as MSG Entertainment’s chief strategist overseeing all legislative, community, diversity and inclusion initiatives across the Company’s portfolio, including venues, entertainment properties, dining and nightlife offerings, and a music festival. He focuses on strengthening MSG Entertainment’s relationships with governments and communities the Company serves while expanding its venue portfolio, including building future state-of-the-art MSG Sphere venues in Las Vegas and London. Rich also leads governmental and corporate social responsibility matters relating to MSG Sports, which became a standalone company in April 2020, and whose assets feature the New York Knicks (NBA) and New York Rangers (NHL) franchises. Prior to MSG, Rich was a senior executive at the Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, and served as Commissioner of the NJ Department of Community Affairs where he played a critical role managing the state’s post-Hurricane Sandy recovery and rebuilding efforts. Prior to service in state government, Rich was a federal prosecutor. He serves on the boards of the MSG Relief Fund, Garden of Dreams Foundation, Dance Theater of Harlem and Seton Hall Prep. Rich earned his BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan, and his JD and Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
